Human, all too human: Autonomy and responsibility according to Feuerbach

Vol 9, No 2 (2008) • Filosofia Unisinos - Unisinos Journal of Philosophy

Autor: Marcio Gimenes de Paula

Resumo:

This article discusses the relation between man and religion in Feuerbach’s Essence of Christianity. According to the atheism of this German thinker, man has total autonomy and responsibility for his choices and the world where he lives. In other words, Feuerbach’s anthropology is a project of autonomy, responsibility and suppression of religious fantasies.
