The poietic purpose of action in Aristotle’s Ethics

Resumo:

This paper presents an analysis of the specificity of properly human action in Aristotle’s thinking, which results from a certain principle of indetermination that is inherent in human nature. Is sees action (praxis) as having a poietic purpose, viz. the development of human excellence.
